Free books to support children and teens after suicide

Talking to children and teenagers about suicide can be difficult. That’s why StandBy has written two activity books and accompanying notes guide books:

Workplace toolkit

Given that many people who die by suicide are working- age adults, most of whom are employed, it is likely that a significant number of workplaces around Australia are impacted by the suicide death of an employee or colleague each year.

This workplace toolkit (and accompanying training worksheets) has been designed to assist employers, managers, and others in the leadership role to develop a confident and best practice response through understanding and planning for potential impacts of suicide on:

Support Packs

StandBy Support After Suicide has developed 17 different leaflets to support those bereaved or impacted by suicide.

Support After Suicide Toolkit:
Postvention Response for Site Owners and Leadership

Developed in conjunction with Lifeline Australia, the StandBy Support After Suicide Toolkit for Site Owners and Leadership provides guidance and timely evidence based postvention support, in response to a suicide death that occurs in a public place.

This document can be used by management and those in leadership roles as a guide to complement existing workplace policy and procedures; to help inform decision making in the event of a public death by suicide.

The downloadable and printable mini resources will support those who engage with the resource, to support people who are impacted and bereaved by suicide onto further postvention support.
